Okay Hypothetically if you were one of only two heirs and you got to choose first. 1 Billion in cash or a Billion in land & minerals which one?

Technically he made it off an over funded pension plan....

But yes he was smart with subsurface minerals.. End of the day he got what he wanted. Deny him an easement and he will start up a “public” utility company and go ED

I know some people who lost allot of money on his BS GULF takeover, allot of good people got hurt on that one. I've had no dealing with him other than working on several of his wells up around Brownfield, he paid on time and had some good people working for him.

I don't think I can overstate the impact he had on our university. He put us on the map. So lucky ATM pulled his scholarship.

Like most men, a lot to love, but a lot to hate about him also.

Loved his conservative and giving mid set. From a business perspective and “other” people’s property rights, not so much.

Success doesn’t come with out faults, I wish his family and friends comfort in his passing

I really knew nothing of the man other than what you hear on the news about his wealth and Philanthropy, sounds like he was a pretty cut throat confused2
