Damn Goat

Steven "the wonder goat" (far left in the pic) has learned how to open the hay barn door, and he and his gang of hooligans have been raiding the feed bins. It's a heavy metal door with a round door knob. Thought the hired help was just being lazy and not shutting the door until he did it again this morning...

We'll see if he can figure out how to work the slide bolt going on it tonight.

Kids used to show them in FFA. Had them for years while showing. Still don’t know much more about them than when we started. Was raised on dairy farm, can talk milk cows, but don’t ask me a question about a darn eat anything or destroy anything they can get ahold of goat......

One daughter is a physician that today told me about a guy that drinks his goats' unpasteurized milk. (I pictured the lady in Cold Mountain - they provide everything, yada, yada). He's serious sick because of it. My daughter asked about the goats and the wife said "It won't be a problem. I sold them all today." Apparently, it got a little tense in the room after that.

Actually they just got a new goat pen and are locked up instead of roaming the property for the next several months. Wife is calling it "fat camp" and putting them all on a diet so they lose some pounds. Hugu (pig) has bad arthritis from being overweight. They are not fans of the plan.
