Hook Tattoo

My daughter has a friend who's a tattoo artist at "Living Canvas" in Lewisville. Had a customer come in yesterday and request this on his calf. Think it came out pretty well!

I know of a doc who removes tats, he makes more money than the tat artist by tenfold

And if it’s a reminder of the best fishing trip, the last fishing trip with his Dad, freind etc that are gone now, I think it’s cool. To each their own

I think it would have been a lot cooler and made him look much smarter if he’d gotten it on his neck! I got one when I was 16. I was clear coating the floors on the machine shop I was working at with a couple of other hands after hours. We’d drank a lot of tall boys while high on the clear coating fumes after a 12 hour workday. Dave’s Tattoo was across the street and we decided we all needed a Tat. I wish I’d gotten it on my neck instead of my thigh. That way everyone could see my high school mascot and hear my exploits as an Odessa Permian football player from that conversation starter. I’m now thinking of getting an English pointer with a covey rise tattooed on my neck so other bird hunters will recognize me in the workplace. What do ya think?

Why would a doctor be removing tattoos, and no way is he making what some artists make, little less 10 fold.

But the difference is that all them very good tattoo artist blow it all on extravagant lifestyles like them cars you just showed me, unless they have a tv show, and even most of them guys are gone.

The good tat removal derma guy/garl is typically a conservative person working his/her off, cause the demand is so high and prolly not interested in buying a lambo after the first $300,000. Tat removal docs have a lot more appointments and large tattoos could take 10 sessions at $500 a pop to be removed.
LA has a different business removing gang tattoos as well, for a different reason that is.

The hook and the line is cool. The shading and the part where It “goes through” his skin, not so much. I’ve got one that fake goes through the skin and I think It looks terrible lol.

The line that looks like a heart rate monitor is the worst part.

I was asked why I didn't have any tattoo's. I said its simple, I don't want to wear the same thing every day.

Im perfectly fine with wearing the same thing every day, I just don't see the point of paying someone to do something that has no upsides, has potential downsides, hurts, and you will probably regret one day.

No im not askeered of the pain, but im not going to pay someone to poke me with a needle either.

I have zero problems with tattoos. I have none, though. My only problem with that one is that it reminds me of a few bad moments in my fishing past!

I spent the afternoon. almost 2 hours, at the Abilene Veterans Administration Clinic. One thing I saw was a lot of veterans that tattoos on their arms. I couldn't tell what most of the tattoo designs were, but one man sat next to me and we got to talking, his tattoo was about his service time in Vietnam, the Unit patch, dates and some names. I said something about the 4TH Infantry and the Central Highlands and Tay Nihn province. He was in the same AO as I was just different times. For him those are his memories of 60 years ago.

Reminds me of when Dad took me and Mom fishing. I was learning how to cast. I hooked his ear. Off we went to the ER. He had the worst luck taking family fishing.
