We were out on Lake Grapevine but we made it off before the storm hit. Caught 33 sandbass. My youngest.

Heavy rains, winds and it wrecked my Ozark Trail Canopy. I got soaked pulling chicken off the smoker.

No power lost this time! Escaped to Frisco for fathers day dinner and to wash clothes and take showers since no hot water since Friday. Apparantly dishwasher, showers and washing machines don't work with zero hot water running even if they don't use it. Weird. Extremely hard to wash dishes with no hot water so paper plates it's been. Dang, we were dirty.
Insurance adjuster finally called for my water heater burst. Booked until Thursday! Said do what I need to do to clean up the mess and they will take care of it. Minus $3,500 out of pocket.

Not many left in my neighborhood in the last 10 years. If you do prune them, they can last a long time but most don't since they grow pretty symmetrical and look good. Until wind hits. Same with hackberry's. They have to be pruned extensively or will lose lower branches. One ripped my service line off the house years ago. Sunny windy day... We had it removed same day and was probably 50 years old but was too full and lots of smaller branches growing from the main trunk. Luckily split with neighbor and Oncor put line and pole back.

North Richland Hills on Rufe snow has a bunch of snapped trees and fences down along with roof damage. Richfield park looked destroyed. Glad my wife and house were ok

Lot of pecan limbs to pick up. PSA don't wear crocs after a rain in fire ant counties.

If you take care of your yard, you will not have fire ants.

3” here. Another tree (big one) down on a fence, dang it. And a small white oak down, which is now added to the firewood supply for next winter.

Hey 603, I was thinking about how happy you were about your move to the country after posting on this thread.
