They have been fun to watch the last couple weeks with the offense, defense and pitching being pretty solid. It is good to see Correa and and Altuve healthy this year. I think the roster is plenty deep if something were to happen as it didn't slow them down with Bregman being out with his hamstring injury.

I think this lineup is even better than 2 years ago and Altuve is having a down year so far.

Bregman with 2 HRs today, 12 for year, hitting .271 and Springer 2HRs also, hitting .321, 5/5 today are two studs in that lineup. Home growrn through the farm system at that. Lots of good future with sticks like that.

I have to admit, Chirinos' bat looks pretty salty compared to what the Rangers are throwing out there, Mathis sub .200 and Kiner-Falefa right around .210 with limited power between them. Even looked like Chirinos was throwing better vs the Rangers. He's upped his game for sure.

Todd Kalis and Jeff Blum do a great job at announcing. I hate it when ESPN or some other network carries the game, they just don't have the knowledge or personal relationship of the players those two have with the Astros.

I felt bad for Corbin Martin, I think he was a little too wound up and probably a little overwhelmed by it all. I think he will come around, It is a huge deal to be pitching in Fenway park, against the Red Socks, throwing to legends of the game and your Mom is in the stands to boot.

Thought he had a good outing, handled himself well. A rook is supposed to get roughed up a few times, especially by the SOX. AJ handled him well also. Just enough for the experience but not too long to cost a game. NO PRESSURE NO DIAMONDS.

I recorded today�s game to watch tonite. had The Rangers game on, and as I walked past the tv the announcers said who won the Astros game. I got no Spoiler Alert!

Cubs jumped on Cole early with a 2 run shot. ASTROS retaliate for 6 runs in the 4th the hard way. Cole has been pretty much untouched since the homer run. I�m sure the ASTROS have some long balls coming.

I generally watch the first three innings then watch the rerun the following day if they win.

If there is a silver lining to all these top shelf Astros players getting hurt, it is a chance for some of the best in AAA to show their stuff. You never know who might be the next diamond in the rough.

If you�ve been around here long you know I�m a Ranger guy 100% and I realize I�m in enemy territory here but my son got drafted by the Astros so this is my humble brag and also my confession that as much as it pains me to do and say I will be showing some interest in the Astros now. I�ve talked a lot of S in the last few years and my Ranger red and blue blood boils when I tell people I told my own kid to take less money to go to the Astros, the enemy, but it�s best for him. Take it easy on me if I come around here I�m gonna try to be a �fan�. It�s a confusing time in my baseball life right now and my Ranger heart hurts.

thank you. West palm beach rookie league for a week and then probably A ball. He�s thrown 110 innings this year so they are taking it easy. I'm not making this up. The Astros were on a loosing streak. Yuli Gurreal sucked. Yuli set several new records after help from Carlos Beltran. Simply put, it was to keep both eyes on the ball. I learned it a little late in my life but it helped. Do you in most endeavors? Thoughts.

Gurriel hit another home run last night in the bottom of the sixth. The Astros won 5/0 as Gerrit Cole shut out LAA. Get this. Gurriel does not speak English. Alex Bergman stood in as an interpreter for him and also learned to keep both eyes open.. Alex was two for four and scored two runs.

Good pitching performance for Cole. 7 scoreless innings.

Greinke has been excellent to start the 2019 season. Through 22 starts, he's 10-4 with a 2.87 ERA and a 3.15 FIP. He's also averaging 8.17 strikeouts and 1.15 walks.

The right-hander has improved following a 2018 campaign in which he was solid but not otherworldly.

Greinke was 24th among pitchers in WAR (2.9). He had a 3.71 FIP and averaged 8.62

Also signed Maldonado AGAIN and couple of relievers.

Astros now have 3 of the top 5 pitchers in WHIP.
