Winter League 5stand/sporting clays - 01/09/23 06:21 PM

Hello Elm Fork Shooters!

Winter League is here!

The Winter League registration is open, the dates will be from January 11 to February 19. You can register as a full team or as an individual and we will try to set you up with a team if one is available. You'll be given two Pre-shoots, a make-up, and a bank shoot for the league.

FYI you can shoot on wed or thur night 6pm to 8pm or Sat & Sunday if you miss a session. Also, a great way to tune up for New Hope shoot in April!!!

Pricing:
• $45 Trophy fee - non-negotiable one time payment
• $103.50 For the full six weeks
• $18.05/week - If you prefer to pay on a weekly basis instead
• $5 golf cart fee/person

Pre-shoot:
If you're unable to attend one of the weeks for shooting you can shoot for score ahead of time.

Make-up:
If you missed a week you'll be able to use the makeup to replace the week you missed.

Bank:
The Bank allows you to choose whichever sport (5-Stand or Sporting Clays) you want and you can use that score to replace any zeros you may have. You don't have to purchase a Bank, it's not required of you.

Good luck all!!

I probably won't sign up for another league at Elm Fork until spring\summer. Early sundown is not working with my hours since the move west.

thanks:

Team SCRUB - 3 out of 5 shot for score on Wednesday, we were the very first shooters to start the new league off.

wind was at our right shoulder -blowing to the left at 20mph - anything thrown going away or targets as far away as possible, were very interesting to say the least.

our 4th shooter was freaked out by the wind & refused to shoot for score.

the 2nd course was not as affected by the wind, and we did much better even though it was a harder course.

our last 2 shooter's will shoot this evening. (Friday)

Not sure how long it will take them to get scores on Iclays but will post when they are up.

Next week is Super Sporting Clays on the Meadows course stands 1 -6 ( they like to set them as 25 true pairs)

we shot week 6 (sporting clays - meadows 1-6:)

4 out of 5 on "scrubs" shot today & we did well for last shoot before finals. last guy shoots Saturday morning.

this should keep us well into the bracket for finals : we are seeded #4 before this week is added (we should stay there or even move up, Maybe)

To be continued!

Re: Winter League 5stand/sporting clays - 03/12/23 04:08 PM

latest development since final had been moved one of our top shooters has left for Spain during spring break & will not be here on the 15th.

Team is made up of 5 shooters.

Elm fork said we can shoot with 4 members and team we shoot against will drop their lowest score.

We drop one of our top scores & the teams we shoot drop a low score.

Nothing like making it hard as possible !!!!!!! bang bang
