So wife thinks she wants to shoot some clays. I'm open to it now to find someplace to try it out

By ‘clays’ did she mean clay targets or sporting clays? Sporting Clays is the most difficult of the 3 clay target sports but also the most fun! Between the other 2, Skeet and Trap, I would start with Skeet. It is a bit more difficult to learn but easier to score well once you learn the leads.
