There's as many different recipes as there are types of cooking equipment. What are you trying to do it in?? Then we can narrow it down.

If you plan on using an oven, I like chef johns perfect prime rib recipe.
The best I have had in overnight in a 125 deg. sousvide, and then 20 min under the broiler.
I would knock a little time off John's.....unless you like it closer to medium.

You'll need a good thermometer for the cook.

Place in roasting pan bone side down on a rack, so not on bottom of pan.
Coat in butter/oil
Cover with prime rib seasoning. Plenty of info on the Web.
Set oven to 450-500 when oven reaches this temperature place roast in oven for 15 minutes. This will form a crust and lock in the juices.
Turn oven down to 325 degrees for reminder of cook.
When roast reaches 125 degrees in center pull and cover with foil to rest for 30 minutes. Roast will continue to cook till about 135 degrees.
Slice and serve you can thank me later.
