I'm going to have to put off retirement for a few more years, they also have dry aged beef that I haven't tried.
Rinse, split, oil & season, flesh side down, flip, baste with garlic lemon butter, see 140°, remove. Make a small wedge salad and eat. [Linked Image]

That looks great. Was really hoping for a Valentine's Day special on them this year, but they were outrageous at the grocery store. $12.99 for little 4 oz. ones just wasn't worth it to me.

That size goes on sale at Kroger all the time, like $6.99. These were the real deal, not on sale. 16 oz.

We have an amazing little restaurant here called D'Railed (down by the RR tracks). They have a lobster special with 24 oz tail, and I just saw they got some new ones in at 32 oz!!! $89 for a dinner, but I am sure it would be special and worth every penny. smile

I know. But I'm disappointed nonetheless.

These were $45.00 each. Had we gone out for dinner, it would have been >$200.00, easy. Plus, going out for dinner on Valentines Day, or Mothers Day is a beating and doesn't mean as much as a great dinner at home, IMO. Don't get me wrong, a great dinner out is fun and we enjoy it. Anniversary, Al Biernat's. Some kind of family celebration, Reatta. Return from a week in Mexico, Whattaburger.
