Did you make your own roux?

Yes, most of the packages are way too salty (they are starting to get more low sodium ones out there tho). Easy to make - save and freeze your juice in the small containers, anytime you cook a roast.

Ingredients
3 cups cold water or leftover juice from roast, drained of fat
3 tablespoons beef base (Better Than Bouillon)*
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dark balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter
