Old school original grits. No instant for me, they come out much creamier this way. Sausage links and runny eggs to mix all together. Each forkful a little bit of Heaven. smile

That's my breakfast about once a week. And I'm with you on the old school grits. Instant grits and instant coffee are an abomination unto Southerners.

Eggs and sausage look great.

Ive eaten grits too many times to count and never had them any way I want to eat or would order them again.

I'm always surprised out here in the West by the number of people who have never even heard of grits, much less tried them. They will order French fries for breakfast to avoid them. I try to have a pretty well-rounded taste palate, and when they are done correctly they are nice and soft and good. My friends will be the same ones who eat Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, or Malto-Meal, and tell you how wonderful it is, but turn up their nose at grits!! To each their own I guess.
