Bacon and Baby-Backs - Does It Get Any Better

Getting ready for our annual Madison River Family get-together, so time to whip up a bunch of prepared foods. Every year we have a huge week long family party, fish all day, and eat and drink all night. All of the adults, kids, grandkids, dogs and now even great grandkids have been raised together doing this, and there is an amazing bond between all the families. Wouldn't have it any other way!!

Slaved away on the electric griddle with 8# of thick-cut applewood bacon, and the little R2D2 is doing heroic work on the 24# of baby-backs. Sauce them up, vacuum seal, and party time is just a wood fired grill away.





Pretty hot out on the back patio, so I might have finished a cold beer or two while I was cooking the bacon!! The Great Dane next door is leaned up against the fence, sniffing and moaning. Hahaha.

Are you looking to adopt and adult son?

Yeah, you might be able to live on that stuff.

Is that Magic Dust on the ribs?

We will survive, and I'm sure it'll make a turd, whether it's good or not!! Rub is my mix of grinder sea salt, ground black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic and onion powders, and Magic Dust for kick!!
