Shared Responsibility - Meatloaf Dinner

Shared Responsibility - Meatloaf Dinner - 06/06/21 01:52 AM

While I was slaving away on all that pork, Sweet Tooth and the MIL decided that meat loaf sounded good to them for dinner. A good meatloaf is truly a thing of beauty. She made the loaves and stuck them in the oven, and I whipped up some hot potato salad, corn on the cob, and mushroom brown gravy while they were baking That way we could eat, while I watched the timer for the ribs, and everybody was happy!!

Hahaha. Believe me, when the kids and grandkids were living here, there were many years of hamburger helper, and cream of mushroom soup (mixed with anything that would make a turd)!! We ate two deer and two elk every year, and since the wife wouldn't eat game meat, she had an awful lot of grilled cheese sandwiches. Now that there's just us adults I figure we should enjoy our later years. The food they fed my MIL at the Senior Center was so basic, I'd be ashamed to call them meals. Since she's 90 now, I'm gonna spoil her daily for the rest of her years!!!
