Tonight's Dinner

Had some left over homade biscuits. Made some venison stew and jalepeno bacon and Sriracha Brussel sprouts.

That looks like a hell of a dinner.

Looks great! I'd need more though.

I'm having smothered pork chops (in a light onion gravy), smothered potatoes with smoked ham hocks, collard greens with smoked deer sausage, and corn on the cob.

You guys with fresh vegetables make me sick!!

Meatloaf, bacon green beans, and jalapeño-garlic-onion fried potatoes.....

Oh sure... Show all this while I'm fasting for my annual blood draw. Now I'm starving. Thanks!

I plan to cook some greens tomorrow. What are these called and where did you find them?

Bill, those are Collard Greens. I buy them from the produce section at HEB. They always have fresh Collard and Mustard Greens, sometimes fresh turnip greens and spinach. I just rinse them and chop them up, then stew them in a pot of chicken broth & seasoning with some caramalized onions in butter, garlic, and either smoked deer sausage or ham hocks. They’re delicious.
