Grammy's Cornbread

Grammy's Cornbread - 01/02/21 01:45 AM

We haven't had a cornbread thread in a while so I'll start one laugh
My great grandmother (Grammy) was who I grew up knowing as my grandmother.
Im sure she made her's from scratch but I normally just use Morrisons or Martha White. As long as it isn't sweet.
I make two packets and add one bunch of green onions chopped and a pound of grated sharp cheddar (she always had plenty of that good govt cheese)
Mix it all up and give it a proper cast iron treatment. Best cornbread ever in my opinion

That's what I'm talking about. She poured the batter into the hot oil. Look how it curls up around the edges.
