Leftover Soup

Leftover Soup - 11/29/20 06:41 PM

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is making a big ol’ pot of leftover soup. I save all of the turkey carcasses, left over wings & legs, and ham bones. Simmer all that down to make my stock, strain it, and pick all the meat out.

Then throw in all the vegetables, left over deer sausage, chipotle peppers, a little cream, little Worcestershire & Pickapeppa, some rice...

Serve that with a side of smothered potatoes w/homemade smoked deer sausage and get stuffed!

Will be eating on this for days. Thanks for looking.

I woke up wanting soup. I’m simmering a ham bone with onion and green chili. Got a pound of Mayacopa beans soaking. Bean soup and cornbread.

That sounds good Cast, I still haven't tried Mayacopa beans.

Making a skillet of cornbread this evening also. My little girl will eat nothing but cornbread if I let her lol.
