National Cornbread Festival 2021 - 11/12/20 04:04 PM

You would think that chili or brisket would be the most popular topic from a mostly Texan crowd this time of year, but you would be wrong. Cornbread seems to be the favorite topic the past few months. He11, there`s even a post about "Saving Cornbread'. Who would have thunk it? I will have you know that they even have a festival honoring "Cornbread" in Tennessee and if you want to plan a road trip check out the link below. By the way, I love cornbread too. When I make my Mexican cornbread using my mothers recipe I will post pictures.

I have enough saved for cornbread dressing. I simply have to stay out of it at chili time.

My only complaint with peoples cornbread is when they make it too grainy and under-cooked. Reminds me of bad grits. I like to make mine as smooth as possible.
