Hot dogs - 11/10/20 06:02 PM
It's been years. I got a hankering after a few of those Sonic threads. Just picked up a package a brought them home. Just a guess for me. Found these. I plan to finish them. The casing was a little toughs. What wieners do you buy?

Funny thing. I bought a package of those that were a dollar a package years ago to train my puppy to hunt dead. Cathy got into them and couldn't tell the difference.

Hebrew National, Nathans, Costco, Ball Park Beef. Anything but Bar-S. I used to buy those for .40 ¢ per package from Bar-S and retail them for .69 ¢. Good gross profit , but you had to sell a lot of them... and I did.

Eaten plenty of the Bar S ones with no complaint. If i want to be sure im not eating some animals D or azz hole I make it myself.
I am happy to say that i finally found a place to buy some appropriate sized real casings to make my own hot dog sized sausage and as soon as i have some more deer in the house i will.

I plan to try it with sauerkraut soon since I've dipped my toe in the water. Found this.

Hard pass on anything made with chicken lips.

Oscar Meyer All Beef. If they’re gonna be lips and azzholes, at least they only come from a cow!!!
The wife swears that Johnsonville Beef Franks are the best. 😋

If I shop at Kroger I'll grab the Nolan Ryan beef hotdogs, if I shop at H-E-B I'll grab their store brand. Both are good in my opinion.

The only thing I find strange is how they come in odd ball amounts in the packaging.
