Turning 70 tomorrow- Gonna scare my Doctor!!

I guess I've earned it, given my propensity for doing stupid things in life. Gonna build a meal to scare my doctor, and satisfy all my cravings at once! Stay tuned for greatness...

Happy early birthday brother, feast like a king and to heck with the doctor

I managed to live thru the day. Wasn't in the headlines, or obituaries or anything!! Dry aged and seasoned the filets for 24 hours. About 1 1/2" thick, and the 500+ degree heat gave a good char on the outside, and a perfect center! Fried potatoes I only do occasionally, and they were great, along with nice veggies.




Boys gave me a bit of the peat for Father's Day and I had saved it until now. Toddy before, and wine with the meal is about double the usual!! After adding the aged Gorgonzola, we were ready to feast. The wife did a lot of chewing and nodding, so it must be OK..

Yeah, that blue ain't every day table whisky.

The boys turned into pretty good men (they were raised in Texas when young). Glad I never killed them when they were little, and may have deserved it!

That looks awesome and I think it’s pretty darn healthy as well.

Well..............It is my birthday, so I made a Key Lime pie too!! I know, I know, I'm bad but what the heck.

Dang man, where you putting all that? It all looks terrific. That steak looks perfect.
