Ribeyes

Ribeyes - 09/28/20 12:39 AM

Busted the mother-in-law out of the senior living center today, it’s kinda like a jail break, she’s about to go crazy with all the Covid lockdowns. The wife took her out to see the colors up in the mountains, and saw our son at the ranch, while I worked on getting dinner ready. I'm convinced that her institution food sucks!!! She got a care package to take home for later. smile

Grilled some prime ribeyes, along with Idaho fries, broccoli, and butter baked sweet onions. A little garden salad to add to it, with raspberry vinaigrette and Gorgonzola. Last of the key lime pie for her dessert!

I can always do them separate, she just can't eat them. It's about like coffee, if I had to give up onion, I would die!!

That sir is a perfectly cooked steak!

You can see it’s good and juicy. One of the secrets is using tongs. I see people poking holes in them with forks, and all the juice running out, and I cringe. The other thing is only turn it once and take it off. 3-4 minutes per side on medium high heat is usually plenty (for me anyway).
