Brisket burnt ends

Brisket burnt ends - 05/23/20 10:29 PM

I separated the flat and point before smoking them. Even the flat ends are tender.

I got a bit carried away with more rub after I cubed it but I like spicy BBQ.

I separated the point and flat and ran them for 7 hours at 225 until they were 205 degrees internally. I then cubed it, added more rub, some BBQ sauce, and ran for another 1.5 hours at about 200. My BBQ sauce is homemade but starts as a base from Stubbs Spicy.

I did the same thing awhile back. I chopped the left overs and made sandwiches. The chopped sandwiches were the best I have had in a long while.
