Sticky Ribs

Sticky Ribs - 05/19/20 09:17 PM

A few days ago I ran across a video recipe for Sticky Ribs by Chef Gordon Ramsay. The ribs sounded tasty to me. However; I did not have any pork ribs in the deep freeze, but I did find a pack of Country Style ribs. So I used those instead.

The link below is not the video I watched, but a written copy of the ingredients along with directions. Instead of a baking dish I used an iron skillet for the entire process. Allow about 15 minutes after the oven cooking to allow time for the glaze to thicken on the stovetop burner.

The Country Style ribs were delicious. Definitely a make again recipe.

My wife frowned greatly when I told her I was going to buy some star anise. She was under the impression that she did not like their flavor. The peppercorns I wanted for 2-3 more dishes that I want to try so that expense will be spread over several meals. The other items are things that I normally stock in my pantry.

The last 2 years or so I have been trying to experiment with different kinds of food. Sometimes that means I have to spend a little money, but it is still a lot cheaper than eating at restaurants.

Come on over. But I have 2 rules. You have to bring a home made salad and you have to wash dishes.
