Omaha steaks

Omaha steaks - 12/08/19 10:35 PM

Cathy finally figured that I didn't need anymore house shoes for Christmas. She went wild on cyber Monday. She included a box from Omaha Steaks. The six 6 ounce tenderloins should have more than enough but she included a few sides and even a desert. Would you rather have house shoes or this bounty?

Thank all of you a bunch for your kind words. I plan to email Cathy a link to this thread as a first thank you. She is coming home for Christmas. One of our favorite meals together is tenderloin nachos. I think I can do that with some of my leftovers. I'm not good at math but I generally eat a quarter pound of beef for each meal. Seems as I can grill a couple and have some leftover for nachos.

I don't have a crock pot and the French Chicken & Sausage calls for cooking in a crock pot. Reckon any covered pot cooked on simmer will do? Wonder what would happen if I added some store bought roux and a dash of cayenne?confused2

Crock pot uses even heat, bottom and sides. Oven cooking it slow in Corning ware is pretty close.

Bill, steaks anytime over house shoes. Let us know how you like the tenderloins. You can pick up a 2 quart crock pot at Walmart for less than 10 bucks. I use ours all the time.

I simmered then for around 6 hours and the seasoning was perfect for my taste. The beans were white. Either great northers or Lima. Had them growing up but now prefer pintos or what is called frijoles in Texas.
