Bacon wrapped tator rounds.

Bacon wrapped tator rounds. - 07/28/19 03:13 PM

I have made these a few times and they have turned out great. I use 1/2 a piece of bacon, place a small piece of cheese the slice of a tator round on the bottom and a tator round on top of the cheese with a sliced jalapeno on top. Then roll the bacon around the 3 items and secure with a toothpick. You can use tator tots but I like the tator rounds because they are flat and easier to stack. I sprinkle fajita seasoning, black pepper and brown sugar on top and cook at 400 for 25-30 minutes. No pictures...… Sorry

They are the same thing as a tator tot, but flat and round shaped similar to an Oreo verse like a little log.

It will melt out. I just used American cheese. Any cheese will do.

I will try that but use sliced tater rounds that we call tater silver dollars. Use small red taters and cheap thin sliced bacon.

Just guessing here, but you could use thin bacon & wrap one way than another wrap again on the side to seal it up. scratch

I made some Saturday evening to watch the Cowboy game. I had to use Tater Tots as I couldn't find the tator rounds. I also sliced cheddar cheese chunks and they were great!

I've got some in the freezer and the package says "potato crowns".
