Heaviest cooking oil

Need to season a Blackstone griddle. The reccomend coastal owners use heavy cooking oil to season. What is the heaviest?

probably a solid vegetable like crisco

you may find animal veg blend at sams or Costco or restaurant depot

or Manteca, lard

I would guess lard, but we always used Crisco, it was good enough for my grandma's, so it is good enough for me.

That would be 90 weight.

Has it gotten brown and sticky yet? It will. Just use lard.

Gotta say I used veg oil for years. Had some lard left over from tamales a few months ago and figured why not give it a try. Lard is surely better!

No way would I eat off anything that got anywhere near one of Rosie O'Donnell's thighs...... barf

We'll stick with lard....
