Make a pot of chili

I've written here before about making chili that stick enough to stand a spoon up in your bowl make some of that today

Looks good but I prefer mine a little runnier...

yep. the crackers soak up that delicious juice.

I prefer it thick but sometimes make it thinner if eating with crackers or corn bread.

Like most it is better the second day

Made this pot with lean ground beef. Need to kill some deer
Left out the shroons and used low salt (Dr Orders) tomatoes instead of Rotel for this pot. recipe is on the link above.

To get it that thick I just cook uncovered on very low for hours until it is as thick as I want, no beans in my chili

I’ve got to where I don’t add tomatoes to chili anymore. Just beef, onions, chili’s and broth. It’ll hold up a spoon too.

You can use a little Vinegar as a substitute for tomatoes...
