New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp

New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp - 10/19/18 03:52 PM

Last night my wife's kitchen called my name. Of course I had to go make a big mess. Home made Cesear Salad, Irish Soda Bread, and New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp all contributed to the messy kitchen.

It was my first attempt at Irish Soda Bread. The brand's recipe reminded me of a biscuit recipe. My wife thought that the brand's texture was like a scone. Instead of yeast serving as a leavening agent the bread uses baking soda to cause the rise. From start to finish with hot fresh delicious bread on the table was 55 minutes. Here is a link for the recipe.

The New Orleans BBQ Shrimp is a combination of onion, celery, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning and butter.

The bread was used to soak up the buttery sauce coating the shrimp.

Unfortunately I could not get the photos to upload. Just use your imagination.
