Better the Next Day

Better the Next Day - 03/20/18 03:55 PM

Ok, the eating leftovers thread got me thinking...

What foods are better the next day? I'll start with the obvious.

Chili
Beans
Soup
Spaghetti sauce

[quote=bill oxner]That was an eight ounce tenderloin that I grilled for dinner last night. I never eat the whole thing. I start with cilantro from my garden.

That's a wives tale about putting an avocado seed in guacamole to keep it fresh. I had this Friday night..

I make the total fajita dish in a pan on my stovetop.

My chips are warming in the over.

I'll put it all toget

Pinto beans for me for sure, I rarely eat them the first day.

Made some sweet and sour pork last night, leftovers are being eaten as I type and they are definitely better than last night, think the sauce has time to soak into the meat more, next time I make it will allow time for the meat to marinade a while.

Gumbo is always best the next day. So is chili. I'll make both in advance whenever possible.
