They were delicious. Dove breast on each side, pickled jalapeno half stuffed with cheese in the middle, 2 tooth picks to hold together. Served with ranch. My daughter does not like eating dove, even bacon wrapped, but she loved this, so did my wife.

I never had any dove cooked other than fried (German fried or deep fried) until I was in my 20s ... whole breast rolled in flour or dipped in egg & milk then floured. Love em! Then a friend said he was grilling some dove which I thought to be interesting since I never had that. He sliced fresh jalapeno & onion, then sliced down each side of the middle breast bone, stuffed pepper on one side, onion on the other, wrapped in bacon then onto the pit. Love em that way too now. All the above look great!!!

This is the only way I know how to cook dove. I marinated the dove breast in Italian dressing first, but everything else is identical
