any good duck gumbo recipes?

had some really good duck gumbo on the gulf coast this year so i wanted to see if i could make some. i love gumbo but it is usually chicken, sausage, and shrimp. anyone have a good recipe? of course i have to get some duck too....

I just sub duck in for the chicken, gumbo done.

Like Kmon said find a recipe for chicken and sub duck. If you have the carcasses roast them to make a stock.

I use store bought roux and the dark meat from my boned Thanksgiving turkey. I can make it in 30 minutes that way. I start with raw meat, link sausage, and sometimes oysters.

i use a store bought one as well. Louisiana brand. it is pretty good. i will try that - just need some ducks. guess i will start looking in the guide section for a hunt.

We get a smoked turkey every year at work. The dark meat makes fantastic gumbo. Mix in some homemade anduille and it's on.

Find a Chinese place and get a Peking Duck. That's the only way I'll eat them.
