Joe's Italian

Joe's Italian - 02/02/23 02:18 AM

I'm sure a few on here have ate there before, but if you're ever in Conroe and hungry, this is the place to go. Portions are large and the prices are great, especially this day in time.

The owner (Joe Haliti) is also very active in the community and in support of local law enforcement and first responders.

Quote
Since March 18, 2020, Joe's has provided 61,000 (yes, thousand) meals to first responders, such as policemen and hospital workers, during the COVID-19 epidemic

December 8, 2020, has officially been named "Joe Haliti Day" in Montgomery County, Texas.

Joe's Italian has won numerous awards, such as "Best Italian Food" from the Courier, "Best Houston-area Italian Restaurant" by KHOU, and "Certificate of Excellence" from TripAdvisor.

Joe's Italian has also received many Certificates of Appreciation from groups such as the Conroe Police Officers, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Houston CBP SRT team of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Sacred Heart Church, and the District Representative in the House of Representatives. Joe's is nowhere near the *best* Italian food, but I agree it's a good place to eat and Joe is absolutely a great dude.

Or Houston (or any big city). Just messing with ya! Who wants to go to the big city? Not me! I'd rather go to Joe's just because I like him and the food is pretty good...for Conroe. There just aren't many good Italian options in Conroe, although the Marsala's Italian Grill right behind Buckalew Chevrolet is decent, and Tony's Deli out near the lake on 105 has some awesome sub-style sandwiches.

Are these chains? Seems like there is a Joe's Italian food place on nearly every corner.

I'm not sure if they're a chain, but there's one in Livingston, and the menu is essentially identical. I heard it was owned by one of the brothers. There's also one in Coldspring...same thing, virtually identical menu and supposedly owned by a family member.

There is a chain called Joe’s, but Joe’s Italian in Conroe is not associated with that chain in any way.

Used to go by the one in Livingston every time we went to the lake house. My son said to me, “Going to a place called Joe’s Italian is like going to a place called Chang’s Mexican.” roflmao

I think he started in Tyler and moved down there. Not positive its same one but pretty sure. We used to go in Tyler and it was real good. My daughter lives in Woodlands and ate somewhere down there and told me it was same one. They have big rolls that they twist?
