Sunday morning have coffee at the Black Rifle Coffee Company and buy a gun at the adjoining gun shop. They're the current "anchor" for downtown". Other than that, the original Rudy's in Leon Springs is the best I can recommend for Q. PM me if you need anything, I'm close by.

Fritzes is ok....it will do in a pinch if you need bbq.

Peggys on the green or the creek are good places, as is Richters. I’m partial to Richters, but peggys is that place for steak. Great bar next door too

Garrison Brothers in Hye

Milam and Greene in Blanco

Ranger creek in San Antonio

None of them are super close, all have great whiskey available

If your wanting to see a large distillery Balcones in Waco, stop on the way down. They can’t sell bottles on Sundays

Was at Garrison yesterday. Drinks served in what Looks like urine collection or plasma bags with a straw. Definitely not a fan.

I have a class A drivers license, I don’t get drinks at a distillery I get bottles.

Garrison Brothers is typically the best whiskey/bourbon on the shelf in any liquor store in the US. Please take not that I said on the shelf, not hidden behind the counter or in the back room.

My point, it’s worth a stop.

I had never seen that before until working in SE Asia. Most locals drink out of plastic bags. Just a thin plastic bag pulled together and bound with a rubber band at the top, with a straw in it. Was different for sure.

we had a taster of their current small batch, very tasty

the mixed bourbon drinks are served in what they call a "Capri Sun" pouch

OH, as far as food. I had turkey jerky from the jerky place in Lampasas

Diet Sunkist orange soda

Shot of Garrison Brothers Bourbon

LOTS of water and Gatorade Zero while checking feeders and setting up steel targets

Ended up at Cibilo Brewhouse in Boerne. Great place, crowded. I had one of their Honey Blonde Beers (yummy) and a wagyu burger cooked rare with some blue cheese crumbles, no bun and instead of fries I had their side dinner salad with dressing on the side'

Stripes 16oz Coffee with some half n half this morning and another piece of turkey jerky for lunch, Peed at a VERY Crowder Bucees in Temple, had a Mountain Dew Zero Calorie.

Not too bad. Got pretty dizzy in the sun yesterday afternoon.
