Green's Sausage House

The place is East of Temple. Worth the drive if you are in the area.

My parents picked me up some sausage there 3 weeks ago. I drove down there last Saturday to pick up more.

This is good sausage.

Does anyone know of a place that makes good sausage in the DFW metromess?

We like the sausage and bacon too. Don't get it much. This next year I'll have them make some sausage out of venison

We did not have anything else planned, so we went to Kuby's for lunch. Potato pancakes were amazing. Lunch was meh.

I am looking forward to trying the sausage we bought.

I've tried a number of things purchased from Green's meat market, all were very good. I frequently stop in there and pick up marinated ribeye's and/or chicken fajitas on the way to the Fairfield lease. Makes for some good dining at deer camp!!! I have tried a bunch of their different types of sausage and their pork country link is some good stuff!!!

I had a couple of deer done there a couple of years ago (has to be skinned) and had link sausage made. It was just okay. They packaged in butcher paper only and it seemed to quickly get a funky taste, almost freezer burned taste within about a month. Not likely to have more done there. I prefer vacuum sealed for all processed meat.

Been there several times. A buddy used to do trail rides in the area.
I really liked the sausage burger they served. The last couple of times I went they didn't have the creamy sauerkraut to go with it.
