Hill Barbecue in Lubbock near Lubbock Cooper school. While he has a big pit smoker all he serves out of his roach coach are hamburgers and hot dogs and excellent french fries. I guess he custom smokes for others or has stands for his barbecue. Hamburger and dogs might be the best in Lubbock, just my opinion.

Coppell Deli was GREAT back in the day. not sure if The same dick head still has it. He owns The Deliman Grill also. I sold him food for years. HI Fat burgers, Fries in Lard all the good stuff. Had a bunch of menu items named after Dallas Cowboy players as they were close to Valley Ranch, bunch of Cowboys lived in Coppell.

Jay Karami was his name, how could I forget

John Madden and Troy Aikman stopped by there in the Madden cruiser when the Cowboys were making another Super Bowl run. I told you, back in the day !! It was on the NFL Pre Game show.

It went straight to the guys head. jeeeeezus

food was great though. I would always get the "Stubb" . named after Daniel Stubbs. It was one he77 of a GUT BOMB !!!

Alamo Springs is legit. If you are having adult beverages, you need to save your bottle caps and pay at the end by showing how many caps you have. At least it was that way pre-Covid. One of the best burgers I have ever had.

We've gotten sick there twice. 'Probably just someone not cleaning the grill properly. We've also had some good times and good friends there a time or two. 'Used to be able to hear the bass player from my place, but we sold the place and got the hell out. Too many people loving the area to death. The locals called Alamo Springs "Hippie Hollow" when that ranch was first bought and busted up. (Not to be confused with the famous area on some lake by some city east of there.) But, there was plenty of dope grown in them thar hills for the last 35+ years. muyloco

If you are ever driving through Baird, TX on I20 stop in and try Circa 1880. Hand battered onion rings, great burgers and deserts.

$21.95 for a steak, shrimp and loaded baked potato.

Great news about Clown Burger Batman. I gotta get up there soon. Barely open a week or two it looks like, I bet they get it right.

If you are in the grapevine/euless area check out DFW Kabob and gyro. Fantastic affordable family ran spot [Linked Image]

Lil Joe's BBQ and burgers in Rosebud Tx. on Hwy.77 going south from Waco, small wooden shack on your left before the one blinking light, you will drive by it if your not looking for it. But youll see all the local trucks there. Just saying but better than the BBQ joint that's down the road in Lexington thats always in the top three in the state with the grandmother pit master, thats only open on Saturday with people wating in line.

Billy's BBQ in Bastrop was my go-to when I lived near there.
