Smoke Monkey B.Y.O.B Barbecue spot in McLendon-Chisolm

Great spot I found on 205, about 10 mins from the house, right on 205. Maybe halfway between Rockwall and Terrel, not sure really. Food is excellent and prices are fair. I really been disappointed in what you get for your money at bbq places lately, but Smoke Monkey does not dissappoint. Food is outstanding and the portions are generous. FYI it is a BYOB joint but they have fried catfish and the do crawfish by the bucket as well in addition to the great food. Bounce house for the kids, other stuff too. My new favorite place to eat.

Been there many times. My wife is friends with the owner. The owner is family of Eddie Deen, this the BBQ is Eddie Deen. Their fried fish has always been good, not the best, but well worth the money.

Sounds good will have to try it
