Cajun food - Nates’ in Addison

Took the grandson back to Dallas this morning. Got there at lunch time and went to Nate’s. Great food. What a dump. What a great dump of a restaurant. Usually get crawfish, but went with Red beans and rice. Terrific. Wish I lived closer to that place.

It's a good joint. If you're ever near Arlington Damian's is a fantastic place. Rotating menu, but everything I've had there has been incredible. Like Nates, you go for the food not the ambiance.

i've known Nate 30 years back in the early 80's . i used to sell him an S load of food. i would call on him 3 times a week at 10:30am, he always had a Budweiser in his hand. i was in there a couple months ago. he still remembered me

we used to happy hour there as Nates was just around the corner from my warehouse/offices. Blue Goose too, 1980's

I was pumped when they opened the one in Allen since it was much closer but we gave it 3 tries and terrible each time. Closed in less than a year or 2. Pluckers took over the spot.

Used to eat there once a week back in the 80s. Great food, including some of the best bread pudding known to man.
