Van Horn

Discovered El Capitan Hotel in Van Horn this evening. Neat, restored rooms, reopened about 7 years ago (originally opened in 1930). Top-shelf menu with passable martinis at the bar! Bringing the wife back here to finally complete our hike up to Guadalupe Peak.

That place is a classic, it was true show place when it first opened. Over the years it has had some ups and downs, but we always required a stop there when headed that way
