Railhead Houston on Richmond and Gessner way back in the day. $19.95 for a huge cut done right. More recently, The Hot Skillet in Bowie. I'm too poor to eat prime rib these days.

Lawry's is not bad for an old school "fancy" restaurant.

My own. Mesquite smoked for 2 hours (cold smoke @ 200*). Then finish off over mesquite coals.

Good stuff there. Didn't get the prime rib though.

I actually have had some surprisingly good prime rib at the Big Texan.

Usually won't order steaks at places like that as I generally find they aren't the greatest (although sampling my wifes each time we've been they don't do a horrible job.)

Their prime rib is pretty good though although the horseradish isn't strong enough for my tastes.

Salt and pepper. On a cooling rack in the fridge for 4 days. Rest at room temp for 4 hours. In oven at 450 for 15 minutes, then lower to 325. Remove when the thermometer says 125. Let rest 15 more minutes, it'll rise to about 135-140. Carve and serve.

Beehive has a good Prime Rib, but second to MaGuires Irish Pub (Destin Florida) smoked prime rib, the best I've ever had.

The best I have ever had was at the Gold Coast Casino in Las Vegas. They took some extra rare and sliced it about an inch thick. Then put it on the grill to sear both sides. Amazing flavor.

Kimos is good. Not excellent. Their fries are still frozen.
Try Sansei in Maui for same price and much better food.

For cheaper prime rib, saltgrass aint bad.

Their lunch fillet beeftips with schrooms, cognac pepper sauce, big bread, mashed potatoes and a salad for $11.49 is an outstanding deal. I try to get that 2-3 times a month
