Do you have anymore info on this? There is a facebook group called Texas Quail Hunters that has a few people asking.

Wayne (WAL1809) of Snakebreaker.com will be at my place again on SUNDAY Aug 5 for his famous snake avoidance clinic. He will begin his clinic shortly after sunrise and go until all the dogs are trained. The cost is $100 per dog. He will NOT have the vaccine this year. This clinic will be on the east side of Weatherford (Hudson Oaks). PM me for directions.

Lone Star German Shorthaired Club is holding one in South Dallas on July 28.

Its at Jordan Valley Retrievers/Endeavor Kennels, 4021 Jordan Valley Rd, Dallas 75253

Tony 405-206-4173 tony@endeavorkennals.com

I think it is $55\dog, but that might be an advance payment price.

My Brittany is signed up for it. Trying to get my wife to go with me. She does not seem to like the idea confused2

Drove up from Tyler today to get my Shorthair some snake exposure. Very interesting to watch the process. Now all I need to do is find some birds, with or without snakes,we're good either way.

Are these clinics only for rattlesnakes or will it train them to stay away from all snakes? One of my mastiffs likes to attack any snake and had a bad run in with a water moccasin. Ive seen him do the same thing on a big black snake so doesn't matter what type of snake or if its biting him, he keeps going after them.

All snakes....the first snake used in the training has its rattle taped....the second not...the dog doesn’t know what kind of snake...the correction tells the dog that snakes are not anything they want a part of. Seems also that the smell they pick up from snake to snake does not vary greatly as well.

Wayne uses rattlesnakes, copperheads, and water moccasins at his trainings. He has one next weekend in Weatherford.

Thanks. My doggo is still recovering, probably be a few weeks until he's ready but want to get him to one of these when he can.
