100 + yards through 4 foot tall Lilly pads. How she can find the duck is one thing, how she knows how to find me on the return is mind blowing.

Very nice!
I love seeing pictures and posts about of your pudelpointer, such a cool dog!
I know about them lilies man!
Teal hunt last year, very thick. She made every retrieve but you would never know where she was going to pop out on the way back...lol
Can't believe she could find a duck in that mess, you couldn't hardly walk through it.

Brady, you can not beat a good nose and just plain old hunting smarts in a hunting dog.
You can't teach that, lilies or no lilies! Right?

For sure!
I think it's like you said nose and hunting smarts but also determination. It takes some desire and prey drive.
