Tomorrow is my pups first day out. Only a small hunt, not expecting many dove but I'm using it as a chance to put him in a hunt situation. He is steady enough that I feel confident he will behave. Praying it all goes well. He's turned out to be a great dog so far. He's beautifully soft mouthed, he can retrieve balloons without busting them and he even surprised me by bringing me my nieces Guinea pig the other day with not a mark on it 
Let's hope tomorrow goes well and he might pick his first fresh bird. Certainly won't be working him or expecting anything, just using it to get him in the field as a training exercise. He's 7 months now, each dog is different but I feel its about that time with him.
He's in the house staying cool and resting up today, hardly moved from under the coffee table as it's the closest he can get to me!
