Day lease --30 acres- $500 day

I just saw this on craig's list ------------------- at first I thought it was a joke, but the guy may be serious.

$1200 a weekend for 3 hunters to hunt 100 acres ---- that is certainly reasonable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's, what I think, is a day lease on the way to my place. All kinds of folks coming in and out of it when you go past and all kinds of tracks coming in and out of the gate. It's directly across from a place that has the biggest, silliest entrance in the area - bull elk "sculpture" inside the ginormous gates on a huge rock, and pavestone tiled, entrance, lit trees, long drive up the hill to what looks like an Italian Villa at night. I think the "look at me" place is a Dallas airplane parts manufacturer. The days lease? Well, that has "local owner" written all over it.

Hell, I may have a day lease to my immediate south, but I've had no contact with those people and hope I don't in the future, from what I've learned.

And that is why neighbors put up high fence.

Unless that 30 acres is sitting smack dab in the middle of a whitetail deer migration route, that I have never heard of, then there will be a lot of hunts where you sit for no reason.

I'm selling my 30 acres place in East Tx...maybe I can pocket a couple of extra grand between now and when it closes by doing day hunts and letting ID10Ts hunters kill off everything that moves.

I believe I have hunted places in the hillcountry where a neighbor like this might actually do some good for the population. Its incredible how over populated some places are.
