Bow hunters looking for lease - 03/30/19 01:42 PM

Looking for a possible long term lease within 3-4hours of DFW. WE BOW HUNT ONLY. Very management minded. We would feed year round and have the equipment to put in food plots. We are in construction and could be handy around the ranch if needed. Looking for 500-1500 acres. If water and electricity are not yet in place but are close, we have the ability of getting them installed. Thank for your time.

Some advice for you:

What you are looking for is in high demand if it's a good property that hasn't been over hunted. The landowner is not going to contact you because they don't have to. You have to be active searching daily to find a good place to hunt. Have your cash on hand and be ready to act on it.

The landowners or brokers that contact you are most likely not going to have a good to great place to hunt.

Pitchfork..... of course what I'm looking for is in high demand or I would not feel the need to post on a public forum searching for same thing that everyone else may be also looking for. This will probably be a great SHOCK to you but I have been contacted by 4 different ranches who have read this forum and have responded to my requests. Still looking for something that will fit my hunting style, miles from the house, price, etc. This has not been my only outlet for searching for a new lease on a daily basis. Newspaper adds, typical trips to the feed store, word of mouth and meet and greets have seemed to also help in my search. Not only land owners read these forums. Lease bosses and disgruntled members that may be looking to get rid of few pessimistic naysayers also read the THF. I also need to mention again I have a little more to offer that your typical hunter. I am a successful construction business owner who has many great references and the ability to help with all ranch needs from road work to cabin construction. I own several pieces of farm equiptment and have the ability to install new food plots or keep existing ones going.

Thanks for you words of encouragement pitchfork.... I'm pretty sure if you were on the mayflower when it arrived we would all be living next to Plymouth Rock still.

If you hear of anything give me a shout.
