Lease opening in NW Oklahoma. - 03/20/13 02:39 PM

I am posting this here because I prefer a bowhunter to take this spot.

We have one spot for sure. If we add another pasture there will be two spots open.

The lease fee is $2000 a year. You have year around access. You can hunt deer, turkey, and rattlesnakes(if you wish). There are a few mule deer but not a lot. Mule deer will be buck only. One cull buck, one trophy, and license limit of does. Stand and feeders already set up, but if you want to set up your own feel free.

Terrain is mostly cedar and mesquite covered canyons and draws. One pasture is a river flat pasture with patches of woods. Hunting is hard in the other pastures because the only roads are oil roads to the pad sites. 4 wheeler or UTVs are ok in off season to work and fill feeders. In season they can be used with limitations.

At this time there is not a place to stay on the property. I am working with another land owner to try and have a spot to place a trailer. If not there is an RV park 10 miles away that is really cheap.

I will be going up April 6th to do some work and maybe a little turkey hunting if I get the chance. I can show the place at that time. I can take to people with me to look at the property at that time. So first come first serve. I will have you meet me then follow me to the lease as directions on how to get there are very difficult on your first trip.

Out of state guys. Your license is $285 per season. So if you hunt bow and rifle you are looking at $570 in license fees alone.

Here are a couple culls and trail cam pics. From the last few years. I have more trail cam pics I can share when you come up to look. On Average you will see 130" - 150". There are bigger deer there if you hunt hard. A 175" was missed last year. Past trophies have been from "150 - 185". A 200" was seen a few years ago. A 185" mule deer was kill 5 years ago and a 160" was seen last year.

Hope I answered a lot of questions. If you have more please ask.
