Kaufman County-Land Auction - 02/18/13 09:03 PM

Has anyone seen this listing on lands of texas?

They are having an auction next month. It's Trinty River bottom land. I wonder what this will fetch and how the deer might be?

I would give $100 bucks an acre right now sight unseen. ;-)

have you ever heard the outcome of auctions? Do they usually go for a cheaper price?

I've tried to buy some residential places from HUD. Never got one. They fetched more than the starting bid. You need to do your homework finding comparable places and what they sold, or are selling for. Don't make too greedy an offer and you could end up with it. Good luck.

I just looked at the photos. Beautiful place. Close to town. Good deer hunting with a chance for a Monster. I can dream. It even has some hilly areas. I would guess the starting reserve would be around $1200-an acre or so.

I wanted to update this post...

I just got back from the auction...It appeared that one man bought the whole place for about 2.850 million...that's a little over $1200 per acre. It was cool see a live land auction! Just need to win the lottery so I can be a player, LOL!

Thanks for updating

I'm curious what that place will be worth 10-15 years from now

Do you remember name of who bought it?

No, all the bidding was by assigned number. He was #73 I believe...

I will be curious as to what he does with the property. The high ground (buildable) acrage is quite nice.
