I shot my biggest buck ( about 135 10 pt. ) about 7-8 miles east of Kemp around Prairieville. There are alot of hogs and some great deer coming off the creeks from the Cedar Creek lake area. If you have draws or creeks across your property that make good travel routes you have a chance of seeing some real nice bucks.

I grew up in Kemp. As HuntingTexas states, it's all about location. If you're close to the creeks feeding the lake, you'll be in good shape.

Yep, get land near the water.

Kemp is overrun with hogs, I have friends that have a lease there used to be a good deer lease. Now it is a hog lease they killed over 200 last year and can't tell any difference.
