What’s the location of the ranch sir ?

The Ranch is located 30 miles south of Abilene, Texas and 15 miles east of Winters. The ranch has not been commercially hunted in 6 years. We are under the MLD program so hunters will be using our tags for the whitetail.

Here are some pics of animals this weekend. We have lots of good animals to choose from. We are know offering an aoudad ewe, whitetail cull buck under 130”, or whitetail doe free of charge if you harvest one of our main animals (Whitetail, Scimitar, Fallow, Red Deer, ect.).

Maybe dumb question. But on your fallow package above, #3. What is a overage fallow? Like a management buck?

It is a fallow that is past his prime and has not put on antler growth like he has in the past years.

Congratulations to our first whitetail hunters of the season, Kenny and Aiden, on getting their whitetail this weekend. Kenny shot a great 163” 11pt and Aiden got a nice management buck which is his first ever whitetail. We had a great hunt and made some good memories. Lots more to come.

That is what we think at was. Regardless it is a pretty cool animal.

If you have attempted to call or text me about hunts since Sunday and I have not contacted you back, please do so again or send me a PM. I have been having cell phone issues the past couple of days and have been unable to receive or send anything through call or text.

It was another great weekend out at the ranch. We had a great time with the hunters and they were able to take a 175” whitetail, cull whitetail, scimitar, and aoudad ewe. There are still lots of trophy animals available to be hunted this season.

What do you do with an auodad ewe? The only one I ever killed we used as coyote bait.

They make a cool European mount, but other than that, they aren’t good for anything else.

Our hunter this weekend was able to get a nice 161” whitetail and whitetail doe on Saturday. We have started to see lots more activity with the rut starting to pick up. Contact me if you are interested in a hunt.

Duane came back out this weekend and was able to get a cull blackbuck and a great Scimitar bull that was 39-1/4”. Congratulations on the great animals.

We’ve had several successful hunts over the past month with some nice animals taken. To add on top of that we had a couple of young hunters get their first deer.

Could you please give details as to how hunts are conducted and are your package hunts still available? I noticed pictures of game with only one antler, is this considered a cull animal? Being MLD when does your season end?
