I'm looking for a bull elk hunt - free range - 2 hunters. Guaranteed tag (not draw), and I'd prefer to hunt on the ranch/land of the outfitter/guide. It's just been my experience that a ranch operating it's own land has a far better hunt than an outfitter renting from a landowner. When I went with the latter, I ran into a situation where the "private land" was rented to quite a few folks. However, I'm no expert in booking a guided hunt/outfitter. If anybody knows someone in NM or West Texas they would recommend I would greatly appreciate the advice. Ol' Google has about two dozen options, but once I saw the same bull on two different websites I got concerned with the reliability of searching without recommendations. Thank you in advance.
