New Zealand Tahr hunt JULY 2020 - 11/10/19 02:32 AM
We have just had a postponement for a free ranging wild Tahr hunt on private land for July 15-19 2020 and offering this at a discounted rate to Texas hunting forum members. Additional animals, hunters/ non hunters maybe added on the hunt, we will heavily discount a youth hunter if coming with an adult.
Prices are quoted in USD and are inclusive of 15% NZ Tax, Private land Hunting, Professional guide, lodging, wifi, meals, beer & wine, photos, ground transfers, field caping and delivery to expeditor .
These private properties are among the top privately owned properties in the country and exclusive to Jim and New Zealand Safaris. There are direct flights from Houston into Auckland with United/ Air New Zealand. We can assist if you would like to bring your own rifle into the country. Deposit required up front $2500 that will accompany a signed contract.
Premium Bull Tahr foot hunt on Private Wilderness land
Tahr hunting is what New Zealand Safaris has built our reputation on. Our tahr hunts are conducted on wild, free range, private wilderness area land, where we are foot hunting, not using helicopters. All of these private wilderness areas are leased long-term and are exclusive to New Zealand Safaris. Our properties get you right in the heart of where the first tahr herds were liberated and thrive today. On these properties you'll find the highest tahr population numbers in the central South Island with very old mature Bulls. Rut is June/ July when these tough animals have the long winter cape.
These properties have excellent mountain roads which allows us to cater to all levels of hunters. From glaciers to river valleys non-hunters have an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and watch the game.
