One of our long time most experienced and very reputable Alaskan outfitters is offering his remaining bear hunts for 2019 at a substantial discount! Both hunts have been consistent for high shot opportunity and good trophy quality.

Arctic Grizzly
The Arctic Grizzly hunt is based out of Bettles. Grizzly hunts are 10 day hunts and success rate is around 90% with an average grizzly ranging in size from 7.75 to 8.75 ft. sq. These bears are true inland grizzlies, and are classified as such for B&C. A hunter normally sees around ten bears in a ten day hunt, but like all bear hunting you might see three one day and then none for two days. These hunts are primarily from spike camps equipped with cots, lanterns, and a heat source, either propane or wood stove. Depending on game movement, hunters may spend several days in more primitive backpack spike camp conditions but guides are in routine communication through radio and satellite phone and hunters can be moved as needed, and as weather allows, to improve success.

Brown Bear
The Brown Bear hunt is a 15 day hunt and is a peninsula hunt (fall hunts are on odd years/spring hunts in even years) out of Cold Bay in one of the top producing brown bear areas in the state. My client pictured below took her bruin in this exact same area. The bear was just short of 10' and made the B&C awards book! She saw over 20 bears on her hunt.
Enjoy a base camp with comfortable heated cabins situated around the dining facilities. Power and hot showers are available at the beginning and end of the hunt all within a 35 minute flight of your spike camp in prime Brown Bear country. While base camp is plenty comfortable, it is not a lodge. During the hunt established campsites are in key positions that have been proven over the past 40 years. Each camp consists of 2 Sturdy expedition grade tents. They are equipped with warm sleeping bags, tables, chairs, lanterns, heaters and lots of good food along with a skilled and personable guide. Satellite phones are in each camp and each guide is on a check-in schedule with the base camp. Camps are re-supplied every few days.
